Sonoma Plaza History (the “Organization”), a non-profit project sponsored by Sonoma Community Center, respects the privacy of the visitors to sonomaplazahistory.com (“Website”). You are not required to provide any personal information to us unless you choose to access features on the site that require the information. While visiting our Website we may ask you for certain information, which includes information that pertains to your identity (“Personal Information”). Such information may include, but is not limited to, items such as your name, mailing address, and email address.

Our Website uses Google Analytics to gather analytical data, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, location data, demographic information, and browsing activity while visting the Website. We use the Personal Information you provide to send you information or materials via email about project updates and news about the Organization. We send you this only if you have input your Personal Information to subscribe to our newsletter on the Website.

We may use the General Information obtained through Google Analytics to analyze visits to the Website and help administer our Website.

HOW WE STORE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect Personal Information from you through third party partners, specifically Constant Contact. When you input your Personal Information on the Website this data is stored in a database on servers controlled and secured by the third party partner. Certain individuals within the Organization have access to the databases and may access and edit the database using secure login credentials.

General Information that is collected while visiting our Website is stored on a server controlled and secured by Google. Certain individuals within the Organization have access to the analytics account using secure login credentials.

ONLINE DONATIONS

Our Website offers an option to make online donations. If you opt to make a donation through our Website, you will be linked with our third party partner, Stripe, Inc. The Organization does not collect or use any Personal or General Information that may be gathered on this third party site.

THIRD PARTY PRIVACY POLICIES AND LINKS TO OTHER SITES

This Policy does not apply to third party websites. The Organization does not store Personal Information or General Information on its own internal server. All such information is gathered by and under the control of our third party partners and collected and used pursuant to the partners’ respective privacy policies and practices. These policies can be found on the respective partners’ websites.

CHILDREN

We are a general audience Website and we do not intentionally collect information from children under 13 years of age, and children under age 13 should not submit any Personal Information to us. We understand and are committed to respecting the sensitive nature of children’s privacy online. If we learn or have reason to suspect that a Website visitor is under age 13, we will use reasonable efforts to delete the child’s information from our databases.

WHO MAY HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION

Other than to the partners mentioned within this Policy, for the purposes set out above, and except as described in this Policy, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personal Information or General Information to third parties without informing you in advance.

HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR MODIFY PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may unsubscribe to our newsletter at any time and opt out of receiving any future emails from the Organization. If you make such a request, the Organization will take reasonable steps to stop further communications. You may unsubscribe to our newsletter by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in the newsletter email. You may also modify Personal Information through a link on the newsletter email. You also have the right to request that we delete the Personal Information that we have collected about you. You may submit a request for deletion by sending an email to the Organization at info@sonomaplazahistory.com.  

EFFECTIVE DATE

This Policy is effective as of August 2023, and will remain in effect except with respect to any of its provisions that are changed in the future, in which case the changes will become effective on the date they are posted on the Website.

POLICY APPLICABLE TO ONLINE ACTIVITIES ONLY

This Policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the internet, and therefore beyond the Company’s control, and is not to be applied in any manner contrary to applicable law or governmental regulation. This Policy only applies to information collected through this Website. This Policy does not apply to any information we may collect from you in any place other than this Website.
