Sonoma Plaza History is delighted to be a part of the Sonoma community and we are working hard to partner and bridge gaps between Sonoma’s history and the people that live here. We are proud to have partnered with so many local organizations, including the Sonoma Community Center, Sonoma Chamber of Congress, Reader’s Books, The Vintage House, Sonoma International Film Fest, and many more to come. We would not be able to do the work that we do without their help! Thank you to all of our partners for supporting us as we grow and continue to preserve Sonoma’s history.
Sonoma Community Center
We’ve joined forces with the Sonoma Community Center to bring you even more resources. As our fiscal sponsor, the Sonoma Community Center brings non-profit 501c3, charitable tax deductions for all donations and support made to Sonoma Plaza History.
SCC has sweetened the deal by offering membership benefits and opportunities to specific tiers that sponsor Sonoma Plaza History. The Community Center believes that history and sees this partnership as part of SCC’s commitment to bring more resources to the residents of Sonoma.
Sonoma Chamber of Congress
Of course, we could not be a part of this wonderful community without honoring the local chamber and the many business owners in town. We welcome all businesses in Sonoma to come and talk with us about potential ways we can help one another.
Sonoma International Film Fest
This year we were able to participate in the Sonoma International Film Fest. In honor of SIFF’s 25th anniversary, we are thrilled to have been able to exhibit Mike Acker’s monumental and iconic “Portrait of the Sonoma Plaza”. This exhibit reveals Plaza history through a montage of old maps, ghostly street scenes, and faces with stories to tell. Visit our SIFF online gallery to preview the exhibit.
